Accessibility statement

This access statement does not contain personal opinions as to our suitability for those with access needs, but aims to accurately describe the facilities and services that we offer all our guests and visitors.

Tremeer Farm is accessed via a rough unlit drive leading to an original rough farm court yard.  Guests are required to use the court yard to park their cars.  The Glamping meadow is designated as a car free zone for the safety of guests onsite and to maintain our low impact on the ground.

The Yurts

The farm is located on one side of a large bowl.  Our Four Yurts are accessed via two alternative farm gateways with rough mown paths leading uphill to the Yurts, hot tubs, kitchens, bathrooms and animals.  These pathways can become muddy and slippery when wet.  We have minimal solar lights on the paths so please carry a torch at night times.

The Yurts are very well spread apart.  They are different distances from the car park and some have steeper and longer paths than others.

We endeavour to keep the area around each yurt mown but the grass beyond these areas is allowed to stay wild.

In order to keep the Yurts as dry as possible we have erected them on raised platforms which are approximately 20400cm above ground level.  Three of the four Yurts have double doors which make them wide enough for wheel chair access. The Gribbon Yurt  deck is at ground level on one side making it much easier to access the Yurt deck and Yurt.  There is a small wooden threshold of approximately 5cm in the doorways of the Yurts.

Yurt Bathrooms

The bathrooms are housed in our listed Granary.  The Granary has three slate steps approximately 20cm height each leading to the front door.  The electric hot water showers and WC’s have standard sized door ways.  This would be difficult for wheelchair access.

THE MOHAY  offers a combination of a compact eat in kitchen, shower and WC all on one level.  Access is via a set of wide French doors making it easier for wheel chair users.  With one step and a threshold to gain access to this private facility.

The Big Barn Kitchen's

Two large kitchens are housed in an old converted Piggery one end of the PLAY BARN.  The entrance has one step and may be difficult for wheel chair users.  The kitchens have  kitchen tables and benches.

The Play Barn

This beautiful old barn has two entrance ways, one leading from the farm yard and the second onto a grassy area.  The rear doorway has one small threshold and a step down to floor level.  Once inside the barn it is all on one level and has a flat painted concrete floor.

The Long Barn

A converted Piggery sleeping 8 guests  The Barn is situated just off the car park.  The entrance door is up two steps and is wide enough for a wheel chair.  The whole barn is on one level and has wide door ways in the main bedroom and main bathroom.  There is an outdoor patio area which is very hard to access using a wheel chair.    The ensuite bathroom has a wet room accessible by wheel chairs.

Hot Tub and Sauna Area

Situated in a small paddock this area is accessed from a flat lawn which slopes down to the Hot Tub which is possible with a wheel chair.  The Sauna has two steps up to the normal sized door.  The hot tub is accessed by wooden steps with a hand rail.

Please feel free to contact us to discuss your individual requirements and we will endeavour to support you however we can.
